If you are a Newcomer and want to write Real Programs, please STAY AWAY from this POOR and BAD DESIGNED "Program Language" (it's an Automation Tool in fact)!!!
This Automation Tool is maintained by LAZY, STUPID and DUMBASSES PEOPLE who try to deceive you that AutoHotkey is a very Powerful Program Language, but believe me, it isn't!!!
No Enterprise takes AutoHotKey seriously, because they know how poor it is and because they know what kind of people are behind it!
If you need an Automation Tool, you can at least give it a try!!! If you need a Program Language, STAY AWAY FROM IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

ReplyDeleteOf course AutoIt is better than AHK! In fact, AHK is a shitty scripting language maintained by shitty people!
DeleteThe only bad aspect about AutoIt is that it does not real compile its scripts (it only packs its scripts inside its "Interpreter.exe"), so, its interpreter is required all the time during script execution! (thus, it's a very slow language!)
The above applies to AHK too!
Saying that, AutoIt is better because:
- it's a language based on functions instead commands!
- scripts can be encrypted (more secure!)
- better and faster array\object support
- supports "null" character, "Chr(0)"
- supports dynamic code execution
- Interpreter.exe with a packed script included can execute other scripts
- etc, etc, etc
- most important, it's a language maintained by serious people!
By the way, you should avoid AHK, it's shitty, maintained by stupid people and it's ignored by most companies in general (if not all)!
